Today (26th Oct 2024) marks a significant milestone for the village of Sefophe as Dr. Kefentse Mzwinila, the Honourable Minister of Lands and Water Affairs, presided over the joyful handover of the Sefophe Elevated Tank and associated works. This project, led by Savanna Tanks in partnership with the Water Utilities Corporation (WuC), involved the successful installation of a 500 KL GS sectional tank, a critical improvement to Sefophe's water infrastructure.
The event brought together community leaders, government officials, and representatives from WuC and Savanna Tanks, all celebrating the positive impact this project will have on the local water supply. The elevated tank ensures a reliable, long-term water source for Sefophe, enhancing the village’s ability to meet daily water needs, especially during times of high demand.
Dr. Mzwinila emphasized the government’s commitment to improving water access for all citizens, noting how this project represents significant progress in delivering essential services to rural communities. Adding a unique touch to the celebrations, Dr. Mzwinila joined the Sefophe Choir in a joyful dance, and a song was dedicated to him, along with a special song celebrating the community's new ability to access clean drinking water.
